Sewing Classes
Our Sewing Studios.
(24/32). Our one to one and paired sewing classes are conducted from two locations in London – Walthamstow and Greenwich. We run classes for all levels of sewing – From the absolute beginner to the advanced sewer.
We can teach both for the home sewer, using domestic sewing machines, and for clothing industry machinists, using industrial sewing machines.
Our sewing instructors are highly experienced sewing machinists from within the clothing industry. This ensures that you get the very best tuition possible.
Everything is provided for you, including our modern Jenome domestic sewing machines, fabrics, scissors, tea and coffee. We also have a selection of fabrics for sale.
If you prefer to bring along your own sewing machine, we would be happy to help you with its use. We are also happy for you to provide your own fabric if you would rather use your own fabric rather than our provided fabrics.

If you prefer to bring along your own sewing machine, we would be happy to help you with its use. We are also happy for you to provide your own fabric if you would rather use your own fabric than our provided fabrics.
The Industrial Sewing Machine
The industrial sewing machine is vastly different to the domestic sewing machine. An industrial machine is designed for heavy duty work on thick fabrics. It will literally last a life time, even if bought second hand – As most people do.
Although I wouldnt suggest it – You can seriously mistreat an industrial machine and it will just keep going. If you buy a second hand one it may be decades old, but should still keep going trouble free . The same is true for overlockers.
We do provide one-to one tuition for using industrial sewing machines for those who are interested.
