At the moment we are only looking for people who can provide a range of services including micro production runs.
109. We are a small group of independent freelance fashion industry associates and small businesses with individual specialist skills.
Any enquiry we receive is directed to the most appropriate associate, with the best set of skills for the given project. Each associate sets their own prices for each job.
Our clients mostly want highly skilled professionals, experienced in a specific area of a specific field of clothing :- Menswear, Ladies wear, Childrens wear, Sportswear, Swimwear, Denimwear, Streetwear, Tailoring, Lingerie. Designers. Pattern Cutters, Garment Techs, Sample Machinists,
Some clients, working on a budget, dont require the same level of experience. They may require a college leaver with a general knowledge of fashion to assist them with sketching or sourcing.
We are dedicated to providing high quality services for small fashion businesses and startups throughout the UK. And we are passionate about helping these new brands succeed by helping in any way we can.
At the moment we provide services in London and Dundee. While we are looking to add extra services in London, we would also like to expand into other areas of the UK.
We are not aiming to be another People Per Hour, or Fiverr. We just want a select few people who can provide the best possible service to our clients.
Specialists.
We are always looking for experienced freelance specialists, and small sewing units, who would benefit our many startup clients. There is a great source of untapped skills and experience. Maybe you have been a sample machinist for forty years, and have good knowledge of garment construction, or sourcing fabrics. These are just the skills that startups need.
Fabric Sourcing.
Affordable fabric sourcing is a service that many of our clients require. It can be a really time consuming task for inexperienced startup owners. They need to be able to source small quantities of inexpensive fabrics.
Pattern Cutters.
We are looking for experienced specialist freelance pattern cutters throughout the UK. If you can provide additional services for our startup clients, that would be a bonus.
Fashion Designers.
We would like to work with some experienced fashion designers who can help with our clients, who tend to be very inexperienced in the fashion industry.
Small Factories.
Many of our clients are looking for very small runs of garments, or general sewn products. There used to be
Video Makers.
We like to create videos to complement our services. If you are a fashion industry professional who is able to make competent videos on subjects that would interest our clients, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
Scotland.
There is a solid demand for clothing industry services in Scotland, but few people supplying those services. We are interested in working with skilled pattern cutters, sample machinists, startup advisers, and small scale factories. We particularly would like to work with small clothing factories who can also provide valuable help for startups.
How We Work.
If you fit in with what we are trying to offer to our clients, we would give you a number of your own web pages on The London Pattern Cutter website, for you to promote your services. Any enquiries would be directed to you, and payment made to you from the client. There is no charge for providing the website service – We would just ask for a small percentage once you are paid for your work. We would re-write the pages you supply in order to ensure that it is prominently placed in the Google rankings.
