Our Swimwear Sampling Service.
227. The London Pattern Cutter offer a high quality swimwear sampling service for small businesses and startups. Our London based sampling unit is fully equipped with specialist sewing machinery to produce high quality professional swimwear samples.
We have three locations for sampling – London, Nottingham, and Colchester. In London and Nottingham we also offer small batch production runs.
Our sampling teams are highly experienced in making swimwear to the highest professional standards. We have designers, pattern cutters, graders, and sewing machinists.
We dont have any minimum quantities for either sampling, or production. You can choose to have one sample, or twenty samples. It is more cost effective however, to have multiple samples.

Sample Development Process.
We need to ensure that our sampling process results in you being presented with a high quality finished sample that accurately reflects the design that you have in your mind.
Our sample development process is very straightforward. We deal with many fashion industry novices, so we need to keep the process as simple as possible. Initially, we ask for a technical sketch, containing a front and back view, along with any information you believe is relevant.
Dont worry if you cant sketch. Even a bad sketch gives us a rough idea of what you are aiming to achieve. We can always ask you for more specific information.
Tech Packs.
We dont need a tech pack to create your designs. Tech packs are often misleading if not created to a high technical standard by experts. We prefer to acquire the information necessary to make an accurate sample in our own proven way.
We do have our own highly experienced tech pack designers if you would like us to create a tech pack for you.
You dont need to be able to sketch, although it is useful to have even a poor sketch Just provide us with your ideas and inspirations, and we will make the pattern and sample.
Many of our clients have no experience of the fashion industry at all. We guide them through the whole design, sampling and production processes. We even provide workshops for every stage of the process.
Fabric Sourcing.
In order to make your sample, we would need to have your fabrics and trims. If you do not have them already, then we can either source them for you, or advise on how to do it yourself.
we can make a sample in a similar material if you have not decided on the final fabrics.
Help For Startups.
If you are new to the fashion industry, we recommend that you take our swimwear startup workshop to get an overall view about how to start and run a swimwear brand.
We also run a swimwear design workshop, in which we go through your ideas, evaluate them, and suggest ways of improving them.
